TRANSPORTATION The main train station is S. Lucia, while the parking places are in Piazzale Roma or at the Tronchetto. From the International Marco Polo Airport, waterborne transportation is available, either public or private. The local means of transportation is the "vaporetto" (waterbus), an easy way to get around Venice and visit its main attractions. A trip in "gondola" offers a particular and highly suggestive sight of the city.
CURRENCY The banks are open from Monday to Friday, generally from 8:30 am until 1:30 pm and from 2:30 pm until 3:30 pm (these hours may vary as each bank observes its own hours).
ATM machines are installed on the outside of almost every bank branch.
